Why we picked it
An editorial choice based on facts the place publishes, not on a stay or a meal.
KAFE is a café on Jalan Hanoman, in central Ubud, opened in late 2004 and serving from breakfast to dinner. Most of its vegetables come from Yogi’s Garden, a partner farm in Payangan, and the menu caters for vegan, keto and gluten-free diets.
Because it covers a need the big tables do not: eating simply, early or late, with a detailed menu online and Indonesian dishes adapted to special diets. Twenty years on the same street, and a named partner farm.
